Representative Director Programme
The Representative Director (RD) Programme is our society’s very own leadership development programme that provides you with the opportunity to work closely and shadow some of the Board Of Directors. It is a programme whereby members get the opportunity to plan events as well as to gain insight on the inner working of the society.
It is an excellent platform for you to meet new people as well as to further enhance your leadership and organisational skills. It is definitely something for you to add to your CV!
Applications usually open in the month of October every year! Look out on Instagram and WhatsApp for the application link & deadline!

BOLA - OKE!

Bola - Oke was our first RD event of the 21/22 academic year. This was a chance to 'lepak' over karaoke, bowling, snooker, arcade and more. MSoc members from other universities, such as KCL and ICL participated too!

A range of activities including finger painting, kinetic sand, playdoh and origami were organised for members to relax and socialise! This was a therapeutic session with snacks, music and art therapy.

Just before Christmas break, we enjoyed a chill night watching 'The Nightmare before Christmas' with some free snacks. The event ended with a Secret Santa session and a lucky draw.

Team 1 organised a panel discussion with a few experienced alumni/current UCL students who managed to secure jobs and internships with renowned companies such as Goldman Sachs and Accenture.

GALA NIGHT
The Roaring 20s themed gala night was held at Smith’s Cocktail Bar with a magnificent buffet spread and an optional bar tab. Our members enjoyed an array of open mic performances, broke it down on the dance floor!

Taking place in a stunning courtroom, the 3rd and 4th years were treated to an eclectic 3-course meal, followed by a great selection of wine, beer and cocktails to indulge in, acquired from a friendly bar. There were mini activities like bingo, a lucky draw and awards for the best-dressed individuals! Not to forget the obligatory photo booth corner for memorable pictures!

ASIAN FOOD FESTIVAL

This year’s festival was bigger than ever as team 4 rounded up the best Asian food London has to offer. Ranging from the flavour-packed Fresh Curry Puffs to Ice Teh Tarik for the Gram, we bet you would be spoiled for choice on the day! Our first RD event that kickstarted the 19/20 academic year was a Malaysia themed Trivia Night where teams of families and friends came together to solve the quizzes and bond over traditional kuihs and homemade bubble tea!

Our second RD event was MSoc's first ever Dodgeball Tournament! Friends and MSoc Families were able to have a go in dodgeball through the friendly matches and showed great teamwork and sportsmanship!
SUPPORTING THE HOMELESS

Participants were able to bond over scrumptious food and fun games! All profits and the items from the donation drive during the event were donated to Webber Street. We are grateful to be able to participate in the act of spreading love and warmth to the homeless people on the streets of London.

Our first RD event for the new academic year kickstarted with an exhilarating treasure hunt around UCL! Freshers put their directional skills to the test as they navigated their families around the campus to beat the clock in a series of challenges!

MSoc families came together to compete in a friendly inter-family 'sukaneka'! With original games and Maggi Goreng on the line, members gave it their best shot to win our Winter Games!

Participants were involved in the preparation and distribution of food to the homeless people on the streets of London to spread love and warmth. We look forward to finding more opportunities to give back to our community!

Our last event for 2018, we held a Christmas-themed party where members came dressed in their best Christmas jumpers to celebrate the festive cheer! We wrapped up the year with some light-hearted games and reflections on the blessings received throughout this eventful year.

In the spirit of MSoc being a home away from home, Â a group of our Representative Directors threw a huge Fam Bam Day Celebration! With many creative activities such as designing personalised gifts for one another and playing charades with a twist, participants had the time of their lives bonding with their MSoc fam members!

TWISTED FAIRYTALE

A puzzling and sudden death, a group of suspects with intertwined fates, and a bewildering mystery left to be unfolded. Right out of the world of Disney, Twisted Fairytale was brought to life by MSoc's first ever mystery night! Participants set out in teams to interview and challenge the different suspects - Snow White, the Queen of Hearts, Aladdin, Â Genie, Belle, Gaston and even Jack Sparrow, all in the spirit of uncovering the true murderer.
MINI MALAYSIAN CULTURAL CARNIVAL

Displaying Malaysia's beautiful multicultural background, a group of Representative Directors taught our Msoc members how to fold ketupats, make their very own glutinous rice balls, and even draw intricate Henna patterns on each other's hands! It was truly a day to remember.

A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER

Melodic singing voices rang loud and clear through the Christmas party karaoke session, as different songs brought our MSoc members together! Elsewhere in the joyful Christmas party organised by our Representative Directors, people were busy decorating their own gingerbreads and posing for photos at the Christmas photobooth. Truly, Christmas is best celebrated amongst your family and friends!

A plethora of fun and competitive games were lined up for MSoc's official Malaysian Race, as participants were pitted against each other to get to the finishing line first! Brought to life by our very own Representative directors, members were in for the time of their lives as they raced to pop balloons, ace the Malaysian Quiz and build newspaper structures from scratch!

Trapped in a room with  mystifying riddles, fun challenges and complicated puzzles, teams had to work together to escape the room as fast as possible! Organised by our very own Representative Directors, this fun-filled event really tested the participants and their limits!

Held in conjunction with Walt Disney's birthday and UNICEF's anniversary, the Coffee, Tea or Disney event brought Disney fans on a trip down memory lane as they watched a classic Disney movie and donated funds and handmade gifts to UNICEF. It was truly a memorable and rewarding event!
